Workshop description:

Different forms of photography are used as a conceptual tool in contemporary art.
Instead of focusing on the technical skills and qualities of photography, in this workshop we will focus on conceptual thinking in working with photography. Starting from their photographs, each participant will develop concepts and photo series, which explore alternative narratives: how the meaning might be transformed by situating an image in relation to another image(s). How these constructed narratives might allow the emergency of new possible histories, futures and stories: personal, biological, social or political…
As a conclusion of the workshop the participants will develop a small series of photographs, which together build up narrative or a study emerging from their chosen subject.
